If you need the 1" body lift, it's a great product. But if you do need it, by all means take that into account as far as the door sill height and getting into the rig is going to be. If 3.5" seems like too much overall, maybe stick to 2.5" by using the 1" plus 1.5" suspension instead of the 2.5 inch.

With 2.5" and 4.5" lifts it's definitely not necessary. So most just install an adjustable track bar which allows for adjustment and less bushing deflection than stock.
